Futures Library
Where Books, People and Future Ideas Meet

Situation
Fake news, alternative realities, digital hallucinations: information is everywhere, but not all of it can be trusted. In a world overflowing with information, knowledge matters more than ever — and so do personal recommendations. That’s why we’re asking a simple question: Which book has broadened your view of the world and shaped the way you think about the future?
Process
The futures library is a community project and a travelling pop-up format. Its first stop was at ETH Zurich’s Climate Week in early May. Built around personal book recommendations, it brings together perspectives from science and literature, from fact and fiction. With every contribution, the library grows. Each book offers a new perspective, sparks conversations, and invites others to explore fresh ideas about the future.

Outcome
The result is more than just a collection of books. It is a living library for the future – a place for reading, conversation, and the exchange of ideas. With every new stop, the digital collection grows. Book by book and recommendation by recommendation, a community-curated library is taking shape: one that broadens perspectives, sparks curiosity, and brings people together.
