Dialog Basel 2050
Concept and facilitation of the Dialogtage and co-development of the position paper Städtebau & Architektur
Situation
As part of the «Basel 2050» urban planning forum, the Department of Urban Development & Architecture of the Canton of Basel-Stadt reflects on future urban development challenges through various formats. The focus is on the long-term development of the city. We were tasked with providing content-related support and facilitating the process.
Process
Our future expertise has contributed in various ways to the long-term process, including the position paper and the dialogue days. The dialogue days consisted of three large-scale participatory events.
Outcome
The position paper and the dialogue days initiated a broad and constructive dialogue about Basel's urban future. Perspectives from experts, the administration, politicians, and associations were incorporated. The participation in the discussions pushed the boundaries of what was imaginable.
