Bringing the future down to earth

Sustainability, land use and costs are major issues in construction practice. And they affect far more than individual construction projects. It's about how we use resources, design living spaces and make the future possible. But how can we plan and build for the long term when the framework conditions are currently changing? And above all: how can the beautiful visions of a better (construction) future emerge from their niche and be brought down to earth?

Together with general planner Ghisleni Partner, we had the opportunity to further develop our thinking on construction practices in the dialogue format ‘Ghisleni Discorsi – Bringing the Future Down to Earth’. The dialogue brings together architects, planners, researchers and decision-makers to look to the future together – critically, creatively and constructively. Following the successful launch on the topic of circular thinking and cooperative building in 2025, the dialogue series will continue in 2026.

Senem provides conceptual support for the format and moderates the dialogues, which take place twice a year. The open framework makes it possible to explore areas of tension and potential without blinders and to take a step further towards a better future in construction.
